BRIEFING
The race starts at 10:00 a.m. on Constitución Street. After 50 metres, runners will make a sharp right turn, descending along La Calleja Street before turning left onto Sancinos Street. From there, the route joins the agricultural track along the Samaniego road towards Villabuena, following a continuous downhill stretch through vineyards until kilometre 2.2.
A sharp turn onto the San Torcuato track is followed by a 180-degree turn at the bridge over the stream. The route then continues on a gentle descent towards Villabuena, heading towards the church and passing directly in front of its portico.
Runners will turn onto Los Pinos Street before tackling a sustained 700-metre climb along Los Montes Street. A left turn leads onto a flat section, with a water station at kilometre 4.6. At the race route split, runners will turn left and continue along a series of climbs and descents on agricultural tracks winding through the vineyards towards Samaniego, with views of the Sierra de Cantabria mountain range. Particular attention should be paid to the climbs between kilometres 7.2 and 8.0, and between kilometres 9.3 and 9.9.
The route enters Samaniego via the Santa Lucía track, turning left to reach the finish line on Murriarte Street at kilometre 10.7.
